A geological survey is one that records geologically significant features in a specific area. It has also initiated QUEDOS (Queen Mary Centre for Enterprise and Development Opportunities in Society) to help its students attain their career goals. The University has its own job site where the students can find employment opportunities matching their requirements and thus gain experience along with studies.
All these courses are spread over a one year term starting in September. The deadline for applying to the University's postgraduate course is 31st May. These courses follow the semester system involving class lectures, presentations etc. Towards the end of the course the candidates are required to do project work based on their discretion of the topic. The final assessment of the student is based on the class performance as well as the thesis or project work undertaken.
The tuition fee for the above mentioned courses is around ₤ 13,000 for international applicants, however it may vary for applicants from UK or EU.
Eligibility criteria:
For being eligible to a postgraduate course, the basic requirement is to have gained a minimum level of work experience in your chosen field of study. The number of years of work experience required for entry to a particular course would differ from course to course and for different colleges.
The applicant must have a good first Degree meeting the University's standard.

Bow tie – It’s different from the regular neck tie

If you are tired off with the same pattern of tying a neck tie each time, you can simply change a little to your routine with the help of bow tie. Bow tie is one of the fashion accessories worn with suits or dinner jackets. It is made up of a ribbon fabric that could be tied around the collar in a symmetrical manner so that the two opposite ends form loops.
There are ready-tied bow ties where a distinctive bow is sewn into shape and the band tied around neck has a clip. Bow ties could be made of silk, polyester or mix of fabrics. Tying a bow tie is also not so difficult that you can’t tie it yourself. After wearing your outfit or formal wear just follow the below mentioned instructions:
1. You should start with the left end that should be 4 cm longer than the right end. Then slip the short end under the long end.
2. Next you need to choose how much loose you want the tie to be. You can take the collar button as the reference point and finish crossing the long end over the short end.
3. Still holding the tie at the button to keep it loose, you need to slip the long end under the short end.
4. Zig-zag the end on your chest whereby one fold is the wide part of the tie.
5. After you finish the Zig–zag, fold the long flap over the front of tie.
6. Pinch the front of the tie in half and then swing the long flap to the right.
7. Push the pinched corner through the hole and flatten the right half of the front.
8. Slip a finger into the left bow and even up the three layers on the right half while pulling the left bow through the hole.
9. Grip all the three layers on the right and pull the left bow through the hole.
10. Then you need to flatten the left half of the front and straighten the tie.
11. Next tuck the shirt points between tie’s thin strip and the bow tie.
12. You have completed the entire process and if you want to untie pull the single ends. That’s it.

Grammar in the Classroom
When creating your own material in the classroom, the most important thing to do is to make sure the students are aware of just what is being taught. The simplest way to do this is to introduce the form.
Use more than one grammar point
Unlike many textbooks, I find it is useful to compare two grammar points together if possible. An example would be present simple against present continuous. This is one of the benefits of knowing your students as it allows you to decide just how far you can push them when designing your own material. I often create material combining up to four grammar points into one lesson if I feel my students can deal with it.
Focus on form not function
I will use present simple and present continuous as an example. The introduction of these forms should focus on affirmative statements, negative, statements, and questions. Remember at this point, I just want students to understand the form, not the function.
After I have defined the simple and continuous to the students, I then make sure they can easily reproduce it. Don't spend to long introducing them verbally to the form of the grammar. It is best to have your material push students to produce the form as soon as they can. I may do ones set of 6 sentences on the board as an example for the students, then do the first set of 6 from the worksheet together, before requesting them to attempt to do the rest amongst themselves.
Examples
In general, my worksheets dealing with tense would have 10 sets of 6 examples of form. Hers is an example of the first set of 6.
1. (A) The students __________________(go) to class everyday. They love to study.
2. (N) The students __________________(go) to class everyday. They don't like the teacher.
3. (?) __________ the students__________(go) to class everyday?
4. (A) Look! The students ____________________ (go) to class early. They really want to study.
5. (N) The students ____________________ (go) to class early today. They are too tired.
6. (?) Where __________ the students ________________now?
Obviously you want to use ensure that do/does and is/am/are are used throughout the exercises.
Vocabulary and pictures
I find it is best to try and keep the vocabulary under the same general topic to help students relate to any new words they may be exposed to. To complete the first section of your worksheet, add some nice clip art pictures.

Girls' Education in Pakistan
Girls' education is not given so much importance in Pakistan as compared to that of sons. Girls are not treated well in homes due to their feminism. They don't enjoy the basic human rights of good food, education, health and freedom.
That is the reason the percentage of girls' education is not so high in the country. In big cities the condition is a little better but in rural areas it is worse. Although Islam stresses the education of both sexes yet parents don't pay attention towards their education. The reason is they think that girls are an economic burden on them so they should get rid of this burden as soon as possible.
There is no use or outcome of girls' education. After marriage they will be departed and will benefit their husbands with their qualification. Keeping in mind this view they deprive girls of their right to get education. In big cities people have understood the importance of education for girls. So here females are sent to schools and colleges for higher education.
They are encouraged to choose the profession of their own choice if they are interested in job. Teaching, medical profession and engineering are considered the respectable professions in the society. But girls are joining other departments too such as, army, pilots, air hostess, acting, showbiz, writing and journalism. Fashion designing is the profession in which girls of new era are very much interested. But while going out to get education they have to follow certain rules. They have to show modesty, use long gown with scarf to hide them.
They can't talk to unknown persons seductively. Otherwise their education will be banned for ever. After education girls are free to enter in professional field or to remain inside the house. It is up to them. Still there is lot of to be done for the betterment of rural girls so that they can join the main stream of progress of country.
